Prof. Oda received his Doctorate in Nuclear Engineering from Osaka University, and was the president of the Japan Health Physics Society from 2007 to 2009, and an editor for the Japanese Society of Radiation Safety Management from 2004 to 2006. His research focus is radiation safety, as it relates to the peaceful utilization of nuclear energy.
