Prof. Haim Cohen is a radiation chemist who served for over 35 years as a senior group leader at the Negev Nuclear Research Center in Dimona, Israel. Today Haim is a Professor in the Department of Biological Chemistry (Faculty of Natural Sciences) at Ariel University, and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Beer Sheba, Israel. Prof. Cohen’s research involves mechanisms of radical reactions initiated by ionizing radiation, with a specialization in radiation damage to systems, as a result of exposure to ionizing radiation (beta and gamma). He is a member of the American Chemical Society and Israel Chemical Society, and serves on the Board of Directors of the PCCP (Physical Chemistry and Chemical Physics) Journal of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
